Oak Creek High School has the unique opportunity to participate in a cooperative renovation project at Knights Community Stadium. Our Knights Construction students will work with Boldt Company beginning in the Fall of 2023 to enhance the main entrance and create a new multi-use building. This project benefits several high school athletic teams, clubs, and our Oak Creek Youth programs while expanding our Knight Construction program to include commercial experience. While we are grateful for any size donation to help offset the cost of this project, we have developed a special tiered system for this fundraising effort. Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Blue Knight Donors will have their names proudly displayed at the entrance of Knights Community Stadium.* The fundraising tiers are as follows: Platinum Knight Donor: $5,000 donation Gold Knight Donor: $1,000 donation Silver Knight Donor: $500 donation Blue Knight Donor: $100 donation To avoid processing fees, donors may also send their tax-deductible contribution via check to: Oak Creek-Franklin Joint School District Re: Knights Stadium 7630 S. 10th Street Oak Creek, WI 53154 Please include your name, address, and phone number with your donation. Did you know that here at Cedar Hills Elementary School ten different languages are spoken among our students? Our school, consisting of about 300 students, is very diverse. While our classroom libraries are full of books, we find that the majority of our books do not reflect the students in our classrooms. As a staff, it is our goal to fill our classroom libraries with books that are culturally responsive and that students can see themselves in. We strive to use text in our instruction that tells stories of different cultures, that bring social justice issues to light, that show actions that create change, and that encourage a positive self-identity. This project will help teachers do just that and will positively impact every single student at Cedar Hills. Please donate to this project to help add diverse books to every classroom library. Thank you for supporting our growth as a school in making equitable learning experiences for our incredible students. And please remember, everyone belongs here!

My students need books! About My Students: A small suburb school making a HUGE difference! In just my class, 11 different languages are spoken, including Arabic, Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi and more, BUT all my students are eager to learn and communicate through books! Your donation to my incredibly diverse students will help their reading skills improve and help their English language grow. Thank you in advanced for your contribution! My Project: These books will complete our new literacy program this year! Not only will the books expose my students to various genres, they will also learn multiple comprehension and decoding strategies AND it will all be done while HAVING FUN! Help encourage a love of reading for my Kindergartners! I began this program to see how my students' reading can improve. Only a few weeks in, and I can already see a HUGE change in my readers. They are interested in the books and are EAGER to learn more! Completing the collection of this reading program will continue to inspire that love of reading in my young learners.

Cedar Hills Elementary would like to partner with the company, Playworks, to help improve our recess systems and structures to continue to improve student engagement and academic success! The donations provided toward this campaign will help fund the Playworks Team Up program. This level of support would provide a Playworks site coordinator for one week a month for the entire school year. The Playworks site coordinator would be responsible for working with and building the capacity of our recess team to create systems, structures, supervision, and conflict resolution strategies to use with students during recess to increase engagement, safety, and inclusive games. The rationale for this program is that for the past 4 years our office referral data has shown that recess referrals make up for roughly half of our total referrals. Also, this program supports our school district's strategic goals in areas of academics, continuous improvement, and social-emotional learning. The systems and strategies will result in less time transitioning from recess, increased student engagement in recess, decrease learning time lost by the classroom teacher solving minor recess conflicts or administration needing work on more serious safety concerns at recess. The total cost of the Team Up program is $22,000. We have partnered with Oak Creek Foundation to match funds raised up to $7,000.

Help give my students new seating options in our classroom! Allowing students to work in different ways helps to meet the needs of all students! The addition of these stools in my classroom will create a change of seating for students throughout the day and make learning more exciting for them. Providing different ways for students to learn will enhance their overall willingness to learn and grow!

To kick-off the school year, the Cedar Hills' PBIS team will be engaging students in a variety of lessons to establish clear universal expectations. We will celebrate students' learning with a school-wide carnival at the end of the month. We are seeking small donations ($1-$10) to help offset the cost of the games, prizes, and snacks we will provide at the event. Any contribution helps! Thanks so much!
